Clinic

Grades: Kindergarten-4th

Day/Time: Please see table for dates and locations below – time is 2:00-3:30pm

Cost: $200

Overview: The season will consist of 8 weeks. Players will be broken into teams.
K-1st grade athletes will be placed on the same team and will have fun with an
introduction to field hockey skills and drills within their team. 2nd-4th grade
athletes will be broken into teams. They will spend the first 4 Saturdays learning
skills through drills and small games. The last 4 weeks they will spend 30 minutes on drills and skills and 30 minutes scrimmaging another team.
Uniforms: The uniform is included in the clinic price and your child will be able to
keep it at the end of the season.

Equipment: Olney FH provides pennies and specialized goalie gear. Players are required to have a field hockey stick, mouth guard, shin guards, and cleats
and/or sneakers. If you need to borrow a stick, please let the coach know as we
have some to lend.

Coaches/Volunteers: In order for the program to run, we will need volunteer coaches! We will have a 1:10 coach to player ratio. The Saturday clinic will be run by parent coaches. Never played field hockey dont worry! If you’re willing to learn, we will teach you. New volunteer coaches will have a coaching clinic prior to the start of the season. We will also supply you with drills and games to play
along with all the supplies to run your practices.

House League

Grades: 5th-8th

Day/Time: Please see table for dates and locations below – time is 3:00-5:00pm

Cost: $220

Overview: All athletes will be assigned a team. Teams will have 2 practices before games begin. They will play 5-6 games and will finish with a championship bracket. Games will be 7v7 on a short field. We will need at least 40 registrations in order for the league to run, so please spread the word!

Uniforms: The uniform is included in the clinic price and your child will be able to
keep it at the end of the season.

Week of August 25th – Coaches will contact their teams and establish the
practice schedule; initial game schedules released.

Week of September 1st – First week of practices

Week of September 8th – First week of games

October 25th – League Championship

The clinic will run the entire 1.5 hours. The league will be a duration of 1 hour on Saturdays within the 3-5pm window changing each week to rotate games. If we get a lot of interest and have more than 4 teams, the window may lengthen to accommodate the bigger league.
