
We will do our best to accommodate all. However, we may have to limit registrations once maximum roster sizes are reached. Please register early – teams are rostered on a first come first serve basis.
Registration will close on February 15th, after which players will only be accepted as roster spots on specific teams are available.
Spring Season:
This will be our 9th year in the Western Maryland Youth Lacrosse Conference (WMYLC). For more information on WMYLC please visit their website.

*The age brackets for 2023 are in alignment with US Lacrosse recommendations for youth lacrosse. Coaches will be responsible for the validation of birthdates, and will be required to present opposing teams with rosters prior to each game.
Team Formation:
If more than one team is formed in the Junior, Youth, Peewee, or Bantam groups – OBGC will place players on teams based on grade level.
The scoopers age group will be in-house practice and competition. If there are enough experienced players – we have the option of entering a group into the WMYLC at the 6u level.
Goalies:
Goalies play for FREE!
Equipment:
OBGC provides uniforms and specialized goalie gear. All other personal equipment is the responsibility of the player. Boys require:
- Helmet
- Shoulder pads
- Arm pads
- Gloves
- Lacrosse stick
- Mouth guard
- Cleats
- Athletic support (cup)
Please arrive at the first practice with all of your equipment.
Practices:
Will be held 2 times a week. Practice fields and times will be determined once the permitting process has been completed. Additional practice opportunities may be held on the weekends. Players are responsible for bringing their own water to practice.
Games:
Games will be scheduled on the following weekends:
Week 1 – March 18/19
Week 2 – March 25/26
Week 3 – April 1/2
Week 4 – April 15/16
Week 5 – April 22/23
Week 6 – April 29/30
Week 7 – May 6/7
Make-Up Games – May 7-12
Week 8 – May 13/14
End of Season Tournament – May 20th at Utica Park
*Away games may require up to 1 hour of travel time.
Coaches:
We are in need of volunteers to help as coaches. No experience is required, OBGC will help with training. We will cover the cost of US Lacrosse Level 1 training for all OBGC coaches.
Coaches will have registration fees waived for their players. This will only be offered on an as-needed basis.
